A solar power plant has been commissioned in the Region of Mykolaiv. Its commercial operation has begun as part of a joint project by solar energy producers: Scatec Solar (Norway) and Rengy Development (Ukraine). The project includes the construction of a solar park with a total capacity of 47 MW in southern Ukraine. The park’s annual output is about 56 GW*h, which will provide electricity to 15,000 households and reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere by 51,000 t/year, which is comparable to removing 10,200 cars from the roads.

Within the project,  BlockMaster has developed the power plant design and acted as a construction contractor. A full range of general construction, installation, electrical, and commissioning works has been performed on-site; 2,759 units of in-house supporting metal structures have been delivered for the installation of 48,604 330 W solar panels.

BlockMasterengineering and manufacturing company is an EPC contractor specializing in the design and construction management of industrial solar power plants. The Company owns a full range of production facilities for the manufacturing of all-purpose modular buildings and metal structures, and has had track record of successful construction projects since 1975. As regards renewable energy projects, BlockMaster has built a number of industrial solar power plants in southern and central Ukraine with a total capacity of 147 MW, and more 47 MW solar power plants are currently under construction.
